CGM Users Lunch-Time Educational Seminars




Integrated Diabetes Services
will host 4 FREE educational seminars during the year for users of Continuous Glucose Monitoring equipment.  The program is designed to guide CGM users in optimal decision-making and adjustments based on CGM data.  The CGM Users Seminars are held every three months (March, June, September, and December).  They will meet on the first Wednesday of these months from Noon - 1:30 P.M.

Feel free to bring lunch (or pick something up at one of the restaurants downstairs).

Insulin Pumpers' Club

The Insulin Pump Club of Greater Philadelphia meets every three months (March, June, September, and December) on the first Wednesday evening to discuss issues pertinent to insulin pump use. Topics include research updates, new technologies, management techniques, lifestyle issues and creative problem solving. Each meeting features a guest speaker interactive activity. Refreshments are served.

The Good Nutrition Group

The Good Nutrition program meets on the first Saturday of each month.  Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator Karin Sargrad prepares an assortment of subjects, with ample opportunity to address your specific tastes and interests.

Who’s Invited: It is open to anyone looking to develop a healthier approach toward eating and or losing weight..Anyone (with or without diabetes) is welcome.

The Diabetes Exercise & Sports Association (DESA)

The Diabetes Exercise & Sports Association (DESA) is proud to be recognized worldwide as the leading non-profit group dedicated to "exercise and diabetes." Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with diabetes through exercise and physical fitness. This group promotes living well with diabetes, and proves that diabetes and exercise are a great match.

There is a growing movement nationally to improve the lives of individuals with diabetes. DESA is a service organization whose members include people with diabetes who participate in fitness activities at all levels. From individuals who wish to introduce exercise in their diabetes health care plan, health care professionals as well as top athletes who all recognize "exercise" as a key factor in controlling diabetes.

Members of DESA receive The Challenge newsletter, featuring inspiring and informative articles about people with diabetes who excel at all levels of sports and fitness. Members also receive invitations to local and national DESA meetings, as well as the opportunity to network with other people with similar interests via the organization’s database.
