Judy Tripathi RD, LDN, CDE

Judy Tripathi is a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist and Certified Insulin Pump Trainer. She has also achieved Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) status by completing the Certification Examination for Diabetes Educators.

Having diabetes herself for 40 years, she brings the kind of passion that Integrated Diabetes Services is known for. Judy’s experience includes more than 15 years working with diabetes patients in renal dialysis. She attended Swarthmore College and Drexel University, where she earned a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Sciences. Judy is an active member of the American Diabetes Association, American Dietetic Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators and National Kidney Foundation.

Judy provides all aspects of diabetes education and medical nutrition therapy, with a focus on carbohydrate gram counting, weight & glycemic control, and, of course, insulin pump therapy. She also provides specialized dietary plans for renal disease, hypertension, gluten intolerance and cholesterol/blood lipid abnormalities. She sees patients on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with early morning hours available. She provides a free “Good Nutrition” seminar (promoting healthy eating, blood sugar control and weight management) from 11 am - 12 noon on the first Saturday of each month at Integrated Diabetes Services.

Judy is a resident of Bryn Mawr, where she lives with her husband Akhil and children Sangeeta, Ravi and Sunil. A dedicated “booster” to her childrens’ activities, she manages Sunil’s Radnor Soccer Club travel team and currently serves as treasurer of the Radnor High School Band Parents’ Association. She also enjoys photography, reading and walking.

Liz Oakes, RD

Besides having had Type-1 diabetes for almost 20 years, Liz possesses a wealth of experience in meal planning, carb counting, weight control, eating disorders and cardiac education as well as general diabetes education. Teaching people to differentiate and deal with emotional vs. physical hunger is one of her specialties.

Liz earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Simmons College, and a Bachelor of Science in dietetics from West Chester University. She is currently fulfilling the requirements to become a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).

"Having Type-1 diabetes, I truly believe that one needs a strong team to help support a healthy lifestyle," says Liz. "My experience as a client of Integrated Diabetes Services also taught me the value of integrating the latest technology into diabetes care."

Liz has certainly practiced what she preaches. Over the past several years, she has made the transition to insulin pump therapy and has seen her A1c drop steadily from the 9s to the 6s.

On a personal note, Liz loves to read and savors peanut butter and ice cream. She and her husband Bob live in the art museum area of Philadelphia, and they make a point of getting together with family in the local area for dinner at least once a week.

Liz is available to see clients on evenings and weekends for nutrition, weight loss and general diabetes counseling. In-person as well as phone/internet consults are available.

Debbie Liebman, BSN, RN

Office Administrator

Debbie does more than run the day-to-day operations of the office. She is also the "office mom", offering up advice on everything from how to manage cold symptoms to where to get a good bite to eat.

A former administrator and graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Debbie joined Integrated Diabetes Services in July, 2004. She brings a special combination of organization, technical skills and a warm, caring personality. Debbie is responsible for scheduling, confirming appointments, medical correspondence, product orders, charting and database maintenance. She also makes sure that the IDS clinical staff checks their blood sugars regularly and eats when they should. Much of Debbie’s diabetes instincts come from caring for her daughter, Ellen, who has had diabetes since 1997 and now wears an insulin pump. Debbie and her husband, Sam, live in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. A JDRF volunteer for many years, Debbie coordinates the highly successful IDS Walk Team at the Walk to Cure Diabetes.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, antiquing, and spending time with family and friends.
